Our investigation revealed that moisture condensation found in the insulated roof system was the actual source of water related damage to the building’s interior and not rainwater intrusion from the roofing membrane.
The investigation included destructive testing and documentation of the interior ceiling vapor barrier that was found to be discontinuous, thus resulting in moisture latent air to come into contact with colder steel roofing panels allowing for condensation and free water build up to occur within the ceiling insulation system.
