Private Residence
The steel-reinforced concrete roof structure supported an elaborate finished ceiling system that was dependent upon the attachment of a light-gauge steel framing system to the underside of the concrete roof structure. Minimal attachment depths failed and resulted in catastrophic failure on the entire ceiling system, including the pressurized fire sprinkler system, when the ceiling collapsed onto the furnished space below. Thomas Anderson & Co. documented the failure mechanism, resulting damage, and monitored the remedial repairs to provide valuable information that was used to facilitate the insurance claims process between multiple parties.
